About Hampson Architects
Hampson Architects was founded by Registered Architect Andy Parsons, whose extensive career since 1999 is marked by a deep passion for design and innovation. Andy began his journey in a design-focused practice in Brighton before contributing to a prominent London-based firm, honing his expertise on projects ranging from bespoke homes to large-scale regeneration schemes. This experience cemented his commitment to residential-led architecture.
In 2010, Andy established Yelo Architects, a highly regarded mid-sized practice in Brighton. Under his leadership, the firm delivered over 500 projects, designing thousands of homes and earning numerous awards. While Yelo Architects expanded its influence across the UK and Europe, Andy found himself increasingly distanced from direct project involvement. This realisation inspired the creation of Hampson Architects, a practice built on a foundation of personalised, high-quality service, led directly by Andy and supported by a dedicated small team.
Based in Brighton, Hampson Architects focuses on projects in the South East while also taking on work across London and the Lake District. As a fully remote and paperless practice, we leverage cutting-edge technology, including advanced 3D modeling and Virtual Reality visualisation, to offer clients an immersive design experience.
The name Hampson pays homage to Andy’s grandfather, Reginald Hampson, a notable mechanic, engineer, and inventor whose legacy of ingenuity inspired Andy’s own creative path. By reviving the Hampson name, Andy honours the values of craftsmanship, innovation, and dedication that have shaped his career.
